The Role at a Glance:
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Setting: 100% On-site
Reports to: Operations Manager
Team Size: 2-15 Direct Reports
Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Manage daily inbound shipments, including unloading, staging, and validating quantities to ensure products are damage-free.
Inventory Integrity: Ensure all products are properly marked and put away in correct bin locations while supporting the cycle count program.
Team Management: Schedule daily workloads, assign productivity goals, and conduct team huddles to keep everyone aligned.
Safety & Compliance: Lead incident investigations, manage accident reporting, and ensure all team members adhere to safety and IT policies.
Continuous Improvement: Identify process gaps, recommend best-practice solutions, and manage department costs within an assigned budget.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Strategic Planning: Experience with labor planning and maintaining visibility of inbound receipts.
Performance Metrics: Previous experience working with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
Lean Culture: Background in executing continuous improvement projects or working within a Lean manufacturing/distribution culture.
Advanced Soft Skills: Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to provide clear, actionable direction to a diverse team.
Talent Development: Experience managing the full employee lifecycle, including interviewing, hiring, and conducting annual performance reviews.

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: 3???5 years of work experience with demonstrated leadership in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Certifications: Forklift certification is a must, along with experience operating parts pickers and powered pallet jacks.
Logistics Knowledge: Thorough understanding of receiving processes, freight check-in, inventory handling, and cycle counting.
Technical Literacy: Proficiency with WMS/TMS/ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand/walk all day and frequently lift or move items up to 100 lbs in varying weather conditions.
Compliance: Must have a clear driving record, reliable transportation, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
