We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Mechanic to join a Utilities and Energy Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of complex mechanical systems and industrial machinery essential to campus-wide utility operations. Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and scheduled maintenance on pumps, motors, turbines, compressors, and conveyors to prevent equipment failure.
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical malfunctions using precision tools and diagnostic equipment.
Disassemble, repair, or replace defective parts; reassemble and calibrate machinery to manufacturer specifications.
Utilize laser alignment tools and dial indicators to ensure rotating equipment is properly balanced and aligned.
Perform basic welding (MIG/TIG/Stick), pipefitting, and fabrication tasks to support system modifications or repairs.
Adhere to all OSHA, state, and institutional safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Confined Space Entry.
Maintain accurate digital logs of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Experience with high-pressure steam piping, centrifugal chillers, or gas turbines.
Ability to operate lathes, milling machines, or drill presses for custom part modification.
Familiarity with vibration monitoring and predictive maintenance technologies.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Minimum of 3???5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related mechanical field (e.g., power plants, manufacturing, or large-scale HVAC).
Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments (micrometers, calipers).
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in cramped or elevated spaces, and endure varying temperature environments (boiler rooms/outdoor chillers).
