A Saginaw manufacturing facility is seeking Injection Mold Machine Operators. This is a 2nd shift position (3:00pm-1:15am Monday-Friday) with training on 1st shift (5:00am - 3:15pm) for a few weeks before transitioning shifts, and a temp-hire opportunity once a reliable attendance record and work ethic have been established. This is a very clean environment, so candidates with previous experience working in a clean room are preferred, but not required. Must have previous experience in injection molding, quality/ inspection, and/ or small part handling.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate liquid silicone rubber (LSR) or compression molding machines according to specific job orders and validated processes.
- Maintain strict adherence to cleanroom standards (ISO Class 7/8), including proper gowning, hygiene, and environmental monitoring.
- Carefully remove small silicone parts from molds, ensuring no damage or contamination occurs to the delicate material.
- Perform frequent, high-level quality checks using magnifying tools, calipers, and visual standards to identify defects like flash, bubbles, or contamination.
- Maintain accurate production logs and quality records, ensuring full traceability for every batch produced.
- Perform routine cleaning of molds and minor troubleshooting of equipment to prevent downtime.
Skills:
- Previous experience in Medical Device or Aerospace manufacturing.
- Familiarity with GDP (Good Documentation Practices).
- Knowledge of LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) properties.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in injection molding or a controlled manufacturing environment is preferred. Experience with silicone or elastomers is a major plus.
- Ability to work with very small parts that require steady hands and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- A "quality-first" approach; you are the last line of defense before a part reaches a customer.
- Basic proficiency in math and the ability to read micrometers or digital calipers.
- Ability to stand for long periods and work comfortably in cleanroom attire (masks, gloves, hairnets, etc.).
