Responsibilities:
Coordinates domestic and international transportation providers to ensure timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of machines, accessories, and spare parts.
Serves as liaison with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies regarding import/export compliance, customs clearance, tariff classifications, duty drawback opportunities, and trade documentation
Oversees all import and export administration activities, ensuring compliance with regulations
Supervises and participates in warehouse activities
Prepares, reviews, and maintains all shipping, customs, and trade compliance documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, AES filings, and related import/export records.
Oversees customs clearance processes and proactively resolves delays, holds, classification issues, and documentation discrepancies.
Coordinates duty drawback programs and related recordkeeping to maximize recovery opportunities and maintain compliance.
Reviews PO's, shipping records, and freight invoices related to machines, accessories and parts to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
Monitors logistics performance, carrier service levels, customs processing times, and import/export metrics; develops corrective actions when needed.
Tracks and resolves shipping discrepancies, freight claims, invoicing issues, and delivery exceptions involving machines and spare parts.
Collaborates closely with Project Management, Purchasing, Installation, and Finance teams to coordinate domestic and international shipments.
Prepares RFQs, evaluates transportation providers and brokers, and supports carrier selection and continuous performance improvement initiatives.
Manages 3rd party warehouse relationships and inventory reporting, including annual and bi-annual inventory audits.
Maintains accurate inventory records and supports critical spare parts availability and material flow coordination.
Develops, documents, and improves logistics and trade compliance procedures in alignment with ISO standards and company SOPs.
Supports strategic logistics initiatives by aligning transportation, import/export activities, and compliance processes with overall business objectives.
Provides day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and operational oversight for the logistics function, including coordination, compliance, reporting, cross-functional communication, employee timecards, performance evaluations, workload management, accountability, and team development.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment where international import and export was essential to the overall operations of the organization is required.
This position may require some domestic travel.
