Job Description:

As a Junior Operator / Material Handler, you will help move, load, and prepare heavy building and construction materials. You will work on the factory floor to keep production moving, organize supplies, and make sure everything is handled safely.

Responsibilities:

• Move raw materials and finished building products around the plant using hand trucks, carts, or basic machinery.
• Load and unload shipments, boxes, and pallets safely.
• Help senior operators set up, run, and clean equipment.
• Check materials for damage or defects before they are packed or shipped.
• Keep work areas clean, swept, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all workplace safety rules and wear protective equipment

Education: High School

Skills:

• Hand Tool Operation: Safe and proficient use of basic hand tools for simple assembly, opening crates, or adjusting equipment.
• Reading a Tape Measure: Ability to quickly and accurately read standard tape measures down to fraction marks to check material sizes and lengths.
• Basic Quality Inspection: Checking raw materials and finished products for cracks, bends, or flaws using basic measuring tools and visual checks.
• Safety Awareness: Strict adherence to plant safety rules, including proper lifting techniques, safe tool handling, and wearing required personal protective equipment.
• Following Instructions: Reading and following simple work orders, written assembly guides, and verbal instructions.
