- Repair, replace, and install doors, hardware, and locks.- Provide lock and hardware strategy recommendations to project managers.- Coordinate work orders with contractors, the Lead Locksmith, and carpenters.- Procure locks, doors, and hardware.- Design and manage the campus key system hierarchy (commercial and state institutional master key systems).- Maintain accurate database for hardware, locks, keys, and doors.- Collaborate with suppliers for technical support, warranty issues, and staff training.- Ensure ADA and Florida Building Code compliance for hardware, locks, and doors.- Assist the carpentry shop with event setup, roof/window/door maintenance, and other light carpentry tasks.- Adhere to all recognized safety practices and standards.- Assist other trades as needed.- Comply with all rules, procedures, and governing laws and regulations.- Provide courteous, professional, and accessible service excellence.- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent.- Master Keying Certification from a recognized trade school plus 1- 4 years of related work experience. (Vocational/technical training may substitute for required experience.)- Training in specific campus lock/exit devices; Registered Locksmith status is preferred.- Must pass a criminal background check.- Must possess a valid Florida Class E Operator (driver?s) license and be authorized to drive for the college.
