We are seeking Machine Builders for a leading industrial machinery rebuilder that specializes in precision gear manufacturing equipment. Their core service involves the expert recertification or complete mechanical and electrical rebuilding of pre-owned machinery to deliver unparalleled quality and precision.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for the complete mechanical assembly, rebuilding, and modification of complex industrial machinery to meet stringent OEM, customer, and ISO/DIN specifications.

Responsibilities
- Execute machine or subassembly tear-down and cleaning, meticulously documenting original assemblies
- Inspect components, identify defects, and accurately catalog necessary replacement parts
- Perform the re-assembly of machines with new components, ensuring proper fit, alignment, and adjustment back to OEM tolerances (including bearing preloads and alignments)
- Install or repair hydraulic, lubrication, and pneumatic systems, including pipe bending, hose making, and layout
- Install new or repaired machine guarding
- Assist the electrical team with component installation (e.g., ductways, switches, cable tracks)
- Utilize "shop floor engineering" talent to creatively rectify unusual assembly or fluid delivery challenges
- Complete machine startup and testing to maintain adherence to customer and ISO/DIN specifications
- Travel occasionally and perform all other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- 5+ years of recent experience in mechanical assembly and machine building, preferably within an OEM environment
- High School Diploma or GED (or College/Technical Degree).
- Completion of a machine- building apprenticeship or journeyman's certification is preferred.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow engineering prints, shop orders, and standard work documents
- Proficient knowledge of bearings, bearing preloads, scraping, and complex machine alignments
- Extensive, hands-on experience with Hydraulics, Lubrication, and Pneumatic systems
- Able to safely operate overhead cranes and fork trucks
- Must have your own tools
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a passport (for occasional travel)
Physical Requirements
Must be capable of performing physical duties including: standing, lifting, walking, climbing ladders, elevated work, and be able to travel via air
