Our client in Fort Wayne is looking for machine operators! These will run on a 2-2-3 schedule and the working hours will be 5pm-5am. Please see below for details:
Machine Operation: Run assigned machinery within required parameters and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Technical Maintenance: Correctly set up, de-kit, and store equipment; troubleshoot and report mechanical faults to Maintenance and incoming shifts.
Production Targets: Drive the manufacturing process to meet daily, weekly, and monthly output goals.
Shift Leadership: Coordinate local work team efforts, including managing breaks, lunches, and line rotations.
Responsibilities:
Sanitation: Follow "clean as you go" principles, ensuring machines are organized and free of stagnant water without causing water damage to equipment.
Safety Culture: Maintain a positive safety culture, ensuring all health and safety requirements are met to reduce year-over-year accidents.
Audit Readiness: Participate in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), hygiene, and safety audits to ensure consistent score improvements.
Waste Reduction: Monitor the process to reduce rejections and minimize packaging waste.
Ownership: Treat the facility with the same care as one?s own home and take full responsibility for tasks from start to finish.
Continuous Improvement: Seek diverse perspectives to improve efficiencies and value open dialogue regarding operational failures and successes.
Working hours: 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM
Skills:
Industry Experience: At least one year of related experience in a high-speed manufacturing or food production facility.
Process Knowledge: Basic technical knowledge of ice cream production or similar food manufacturing processes.
Safety & Quality Training: Previous exposure to GMP standards and food safety regulations.
Leadership: Experience managing small team dynamics, such as coordinating rotations and shift hand-offs.

Qualifications:
Mechanical Aptitude: Proven ability to operate automated mechanical processes and perform basic diagnostics/troubleshooting.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with the team and provide detailed handovers.
Analytical Ability: Strong math and problem-solving skills to manage production parameters and data.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive movements, and lift/reach frequently in a fast-paced environment.
Environmental Adaptability: Comfort working in wet, humid, noisy, and cold refrigerated environments (using required PPE).
Education & Age: Must be at least 18 years old with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
