Local Leader in Materials Engineering Solutions is seeking Machine Operators to join to their team.
Responsibilities:
-Machine Operators will safely operate more than one major shop tool ((CNC Router, Laser, Water Jet, Sheet Metal Brake, Teflon Press, Manual Mill, Manual Lathe, and Forklift) performing basic operations in producing parts, modifications and repairs to existing parts and assemblies..

-Utilizes work orders, blueprints, sketches, written and verbal instructions to determine matching processes, procedures, tooling and fixtures requirements.
-Performs visual and dimensional inspections to verify compliance with specifications.
-Performs rework as necessary.
-Maintains cleanliness of the work area and ensures proper handling of tools, equipment and stock to prevent loss.
-Uses calipers, micrometers, gauges, indicators, and other inspection tools
-Plans and performs moderately complex machine set-ups. Possesses a basic knowledge of trigonometry, which is required to accurately calculate angles used in set-ups and machining.
-Conforms to departmental safety requirements.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
- Has developed skills through formal training or considerable work experience.
- Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
-1-2 years of machine operator experience preferred.
-Ability to pass a background check.
-Candidates should be familiar with standard machine shop equipment, such as surface grinders, drill presses, grinders, sanders, band saws, routers, and/or standard power tools. Forklift knowledge required.
