Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Machine Operator to support light manufacturing operations at our Pennsylvania facility. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and focus. The Machine Operator will work with non-hazardous chemicals and operate production equipment while supporting general shop operations as needed. This is a hands-on production role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Operate assigned production machinery in accordance with established procedures and safety standards.
- Monitor machine performance to ensure performance and uptime
- Perform routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain high attention to detail to detect defects or inconsistencies in materials or finished goods.
- Follow all safety procedures, including disciplined and consistent use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Handle and process chemicals safely and responsibly.
- Package finished goods according to company standards.
- Accurately complete production logs and documentation.
- Utilize basic computer systems and office software for data entry, reporting, and communication.
Education: High School
- High school diploma or GED
Experience: 12 months
- Technical or mechanical aptitude.
- Experience performing basic machine maintenance.
- Experience working with production equipment or similar machinery.
Physical:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm motions.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and reach as necessary.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment.
Skills:
- Prior experience in manufacturing or laboratory environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Familiarity with computers and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, email, production systems).
- Ability to consistently follow safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
