The Machinist II position performs all aspects necessary for the machining processes used in the manufacturing of components.
4/10 1st Shift - Monday to Thursday, 5 AM to 3 PM.
4/10 2nd Shift - Monday to Thursday, 3 PM to 1 AM (10% Shift Differential).
Weekend 1st Shift - Friday to Sunday, 6 AM to 6 PM (5% Shift Differential).

3rd Shift- Sunday to Thursday, 10 PM to 6:30 AM (10% Shift Differential).

Responsibilities:
- Operates all manual, CNC, or EDM machines to perform completely and independently specific operations as outlined in the methods and process sheets
- Changes, sets, and adjusts precision tools as required
- Loads and deletes programs in the computer
- Makes minor adjustments of feeds and speeds on the assigned machine
- Grinds own cutting tools and drills (other than special purpose tools)
- Maintains specific tolerances and accurately performs dimensions
- Checks parts using specified gages or furnished fixtures to ensure dimensions are maintained
- Performs routine maintenance checks and reports improper machine function
- Maintains a neat and orderly work area
- Follows all applicable safety rules and precautions
- Assists with related training of other employees as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and have the ability to hear.
- The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop or crouch.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds, at times up to 50 pounds.
- Personal protective equipment (e.g., safety glasses and safety shoes) is required on the shop floor
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, electrical equipment, acetone, alcohol, argon, braze alloys, nitrogen, hydrogen, oil-based lubricants and cleaning solutions.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to moderate cold and extreme heat.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually middling.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
- Working knowledge of the machinability of metals, with a good mechanical aptitude
- Working knowledge with Okuma and/or Doosan
- Knowledge and ability to use machinist?s hand tools and precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of shop geometry and trigonometry

High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of relevant manufacturing experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship now or in the future. The Company cannot offer employment to visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
- Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.
