Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a complex inventory of maintenance parts, equipment components, and consumables sourced from various vendors and internal plants.
- The primary focus of the role is organizing and sorting parts. Implement and maintain efficient physical inventory layouts, ensuring all parts are correctly categorized and stored.
- Identify and classify unlabeled or improperly documented parts. Minimize the need for external searching or "Googling" by leveraging existing mechanical knowledge.
- Accurately track all incoming, outgoing, and on-hand inventory using the "Eptura" software system. Maintain meticulous records of part specifications, locations, and usage history.
- Utilize historical inventory data and expert knowledge to assist in proactive purchasing and procurement of critical maintenance supplies.
- Provide quick, informed retrieval of parts to the maintenance team, applying a mechanical background to understand and anticipate component needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient inventory storage area, upholding compliance and operational standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven mechanical background or deep familiarity with industrial equipment and components.
- Demonstrated proficiency in organizing and managing large, diverse inventories (prior experience in purchasing or inventory management is highly desirable).
- Ability to quickly identify and classify mechanical parts and components without extensive reliance on external resources.
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience or rapid ability to learn specialized inventory software (experience with Eptura is a strong asset).
- Experience working within a dairy or similar fast-paced food/beverage manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to inventory accuracy.
