Spherion VT is seeking a Maintenance Technician, who will have an opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring uninterrupted operations by performing preventative and corrective maintenance across primary and ancillary manufacturing equipment. This position serves as a primary responder during equipment breakdowns, focusing on troubleshooting, repair, and optimization of molding machines, robotics, and lens coating systems in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities:
- Preventative & Corrective Maintenance: Safely execute scheduled preventative maintenance and rapid response corrective repairs on manufacturing machinery, including pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and vacuum systems.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Lead mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to identify root causes of equipment failures, resolving daily technical issues and implementing solutions to eliminate recurring downtime.
- Work Order & Inventory Management: Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document work orders, track equipment history, and maintain accurate inventory levels for spare parts.
- Safety & Compliance Standard: Adhere strictly to industrial safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), chemical handling, electrical safety, and elevated work procedures to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with cross-shift maintenance technicians and operations teams to support ongoing facility needs, assist team members, and maintain equipment reliability across the floor.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
Skills:
- Specialized Process Experience: Prior maintenance experience supporting injection molding machinery, 5-axis milling equipment (including G-Code understanding), and laser marking systems.
- Tooling & Precision Measurement: Proficiency in operating machine shop tools (lathes, mills, drill presses, surface grinders) and utilizing precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, multimeters).
- Facilities & Utility Support: Hands-on experience servicing plant utilities, such as rotary screw air compressors, HVAC units, chilled water systems, and facility power distribution.

Qualifications:
- Technical Background & Experience: 2-year technical degree (or equivalent experience) combined with 3???6 years of hands-on experience maintaining electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Automation & Control Systems: Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting FANUC industrial robotics, Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, VFDs, motors, servo drives, and encoders.
- Technical Schematics & Blueprint Reading: Proven ability to read, interpret, and work from complex electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, fluid power diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Safety Protocols & Physical Demands: In-depth knowledge of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, with the physical ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly, perform elevated work, and operate heavy-lifting mechanisms.
- Prerequisites & Software Skills: Must possess U.S. Government authorization, proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
