Spherion is hiring Stage 1 Loading Technicians for a leading building materials company in Brownsburg, IN. As the Stage 1 Loading Technician, you are responsible for the initial intake and preparation of raw corrugated waste into the production system. You ensure that the manufacturing line is "fed" with a consistent flow of material while performing the primary quality check on the waste streams being reclaimed.

Responsibilities:
Material Intake: Unload incoming raw corrugated waste from trailers and shipping containers into the factory.
Machine Feeding: Load raw materials into the initial stage of production equipment to begin the fiberboard transformation process.
Forklift Operation: Safely and efficiently use forklifts to move heavy bulk materials from the receiving dock to Stage 1 staging areas.
System Maintenance: Perform minor preventative maintenance on the loading conveyors and intake motors, such as lubricating bushings or adjusting belts.
Safety & Standards: Maintain a clean workspace at the "mouth" of the production line to prevent clutter and ensure safe equipment operation.
Senior Partnership: Collaborate with senior technicians to troubleshoot and repair intake equipment to minimize line downtime.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Skills:
A background in mechanics, construction, or other related field
Forklift experience
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
Experience: 1 to 5 years of manufacturing experience performing maintenance-related tasks on heavy equipment.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate a large manufacturing facility
