Spherion VT is recruiting for a Maintenance Technician in Essex Junction, VT. In this role, you will have the opportunity to play a vital role in ensuring the continuous operation of manufacturing and cleanroom equipment. Reporting to the Facilities & Maintenance Manager, you will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on molding machines, robots, and lens coating systems. You are the first line of defense during equipment failures, working a D2 12-hour shift to maintain pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a safety-first industrial environment.

Responsibilities:
- Execute routine upkeep and repairs on manufacturing equipment, robots, and cleanroom ancillary systems.
- Lead the diagnosis and mechanical repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical system failures.
- Respond immediately to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime and ensure uninterrupted service.
- Manage spare parts inventory and accurately complete work orders within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Adhere to all industrial safety policies, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols and safe lifting practices.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
- Familiarity with programming and troubleshooting Allen Bradley Control Logix PLCs.
- Experience operating industrial machinery such as mills, lathes, surface grinders, and forklifts.
- Proficient in using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and multimeters for diagnostics.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen practices, and SolidWorks software.
- Experience maintaining air compressors, HVAC equipment, and high-voltage electrical gear.

Qualifications:
- 2-year Technical Degree or equivalent experience in an industrial setting.
- 3???6 years of experience troubleshooting and repairing complex pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Ability to work at heights and safely lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and complete complex work orders with minimal supervision.
