Spherion is hiring a maintenance technician for our client in Fort Wayne, IN! The successful maintenance tech will do the following:
Provide support to daily operations regarding troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
Provide facilities, equipment, and safety related project support to other departments

Execute preventive maintenance tasks and retain records to increase asset uptime and longevity
Complete maintenance work orders as appropriate
Responsibilities:
Safety and Compliance
Evaluate and exemplify compliance to safety rules and standards.
Immediately documents and reports any unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel
Reports any concerns of potentially harmful environmental practices to appropriate personnel
Follows appropriate safety practices when performing work on equipment (LOTO, PPE, Arc flash etc.)
Follow appropriate safety practices when using power and hand tools (welder, drills, saws, torque multipliers etc.)
Project Support
Provides support to team regarding facilities, fabrication, and safety projects
Preventive Maintenance
Perform appropriate preventive maintenance tasks on equipment
Retain records as required
Establish and maintain adequate spare parts inventory to minimize operational downtime
Reactive Maintenance
Execute and close reactive work orders
Provide real time support regarding troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical issues
Ability to collaborate with operations staff to fix and mitigate downtime event
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant mechanical experience
Relevant experience includes the following:
Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of industrial motors or motor controls
Metal Fabrication (Welding, Machining etc.)
Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of HVAC, chiller, pump, and air compressor systems
Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of large industrial mechanical / electro-mechanical equipment
Troubleshooting and/or maintenance of pneumatic and / or hydraulic systems
