Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance & Repair

*Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and processing equipment.
*Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
*Install, align, and balance new machinery and equipment as needed.

Operational Support

*Respond promptly to production line calls to minimize downtime.
*Collaborate closely with operators and supervisors to identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.
*Assist with equipment changeovers, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain production efficiency.

Safety & Compliance

*Follow and enforce all plant safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.
*Identify potential safety hazards and participate in safety improvement initiatives.
*Ensure maintenance work complies with environmental, food safety, and OSHA standards.

Documentation & Reporting

*Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history records.
*Recommend and assist in developing maintenance procedures and standard work instructions.
*Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about work status, parts needs, and improvement opportunities.

Working hours: Various Shifts Available

Skills:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

*High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.
*Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience (agriculture, oilseed processing, or food manufacturing preferred).
*Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.
*Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
*Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
*Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.
*Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including heat, dust, and confined spaces.
*Work performed in a production facility with exposure to moving machinery, high noise levels, dust, and hot/cold environments.
*Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights of 20+ feet or more.
*Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.
* 2 to 4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
* Experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment
* Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment
*Driver???s license preferred
