Equipment Maintenance & Repair*Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on production and processing equipment.*Perform routine preventive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.*Install, align, and balance new machinery and equipment as needed.Operational Support*Respond promptly to production line calls to minimize downtime.*Collaborate closely with operators and supervisors to identify recurring equipment issues and implement long-term solutions.*Assist with equipment changeovers, calibrations, and adjustments to maintain production efficiency.Safety & Compliance*Follow and enforce all plant safety rules, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements.*Identify potential safety hazards and participate in safety improvement initiatives.*Ensure maintenance work complies with environmental, food safety, and OSHA standards.Documentation & Reporting*Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and equipment history records.*Recommend and assist in developing maintenance procedures and standard work instructions.*Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors about work status, parts needs, and improvement opportunities.
1-4 years
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES*High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certificate preferred.*Minimum 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience (agriculture, oilseed processing, or food manufacturing preferred).*Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical troubleshooting, welding, and fabrication.*Experience with pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, motors, bearings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.*Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.*Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) preferred.*Ability to work in a physically demanding environment including heat, dust, and confined spaces.*Work performed in a production facility with exposure to moving machinery, high noise levels, dust, and hot/cold environments.*Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 lbs, and working at heights of 20+ feet or more.*Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE* High school diploma or equivalent* Mechanical, welding/fabrication, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.* 2 to 4 years of maintenance, mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC, and HVAC or related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment* Experience on a variety of equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor control, relay control, process control and packaging equipment* Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment*Driver???s license preferred
