Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Operator, you would be setting up, operating and maintaining the custom machining centers to produce high-quality parts.
Responsibilities:
- Follow written instructions to manufacture, package, and label products.
- Complete in-process inspections and prepare samples for QC, as needed.
- Generate and maintain batch records.
- Operate and assist in maintaining and troubleshooting lab equipment, including automated production equipment.
- Maintain accurate record of raw material inventory and request supplies at established levels.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and assist with simple experiments to increase yield, improve product quality, and/or develop new products.
- Perform general maintenance and cleaning of work areas and laboratory equipment.
- Take part in and contribute to a safe working environment by following corporate and departmental safety regulations.
- Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience: 12 months
- 1+ year of work experience in an industrial setting
- 1+ year of experience working with automated manufacturing equipment.
Physical:
- Ability to move materials up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend, stoop, lift, push, and pull low to moderate weight.
- May involve repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hrs.
- Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in a laboratory setting where chemicals are used.
- Use of hands to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements.
Skills:
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience operating lab equipment such as: balances, labelers, vacuum pumps, ovens, evaporators, and glove boxes
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency with computers
- Ability to work independently or in small groups.
- Ability to write legibly.
- Basic math skills.
