Spherion Vermont is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to perform hands-on leadership and direction within the Manufacturing Department, serving as a role model for team members while upholding safety, efficiency, and quality standards. This role manages shift staffing and daily operations, ensuring manufacturing schedules are met and lean manufacturing principles (5S) are actively driven. Working cross-functionally, the supervisor fosters a positive, collaborative team environment, oversees employee performance and development, and leads by example in alignment with company values and ISO9000 procedures.

Responsibilities:
- Manage daily shift operations and staffing, delegating work to Team Leads while ensuring production remains on schedule and high-quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Enforce adherence to safety guidelines, ISO9000 policies, and standard operating procedures, driving continuous improvement through Lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
- Oversee employee development, documentation, and performance evaluations (at 6 and 12 months), while facilitating cross-training, active communication, and timely resolution of workplace issues.
Working hours: 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM
Skills:
- Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and standard operating procedures within an injection molding environment with strong mechanical aptitude.
- Hands-on experience implementing Lean Manufacturing methods and driving continuous 5S improvement initiatives on the floor.
- Strong problem-solving, time management, project management, and presentation capabilities to effectively communicate ideas and results across teams.

Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Business, Management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, paired with 5+ years of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage confidential information professionally and build a positive team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and ERP systems, along with U.S. Government Authorization.
