Spherion VT is recruiting for a Material Handler to work with our client in Williston, VT. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within warehouse and production areas. Reporting to the Manager of Distribution & Warehouse, this role ensures the accurate handling and distribution of goods to support manufacturing operations. Responsibilities:
- Transfer all materials to designated storage locations and deliver components, bulk, and labels required for production runs based on work orders.
- Keep production lines staged with required materials (bottles, jars, caps) and confer with Line Leads to ensure the timely delivery of products.
- Remove finished goods from production lines, wrap pallets, and return unused components to stock while recording data accurately in Process Pro.
- Stage pallets for transfer and load finished goods onto shuttles for transport to specific facility locations (e.g., Waterbury).
- Inspect the physical condition of equipment and maintain the cleanliness of warehouse floors, ensuring they are free from debris like boards and stretch wrap.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
- Experience using inventory management software, specifically Process Pro, to record material returns and track stock.
- Ability to assist directly on production lines or serve as backup for pulling raw materials during team member absences.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with Line Leads and management regarding daily activities and challenges.
- Specific vision abilities, including depth perception and color vision, to evaluate products by sight and feel.
- Ability to proactively seek out more efficient, cost-effective, and safe methods for product storage and handling.

Qualifications:
- Ability to consistently lift up to 50 lbs and remain standing for extended periods in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts, dollies, and other material-handling equipment to expedite transfers.
- Ability to obtain and maintain annual forklift certification and adhere to company safety and handling standards.
- Ability to examine incoming materials, verify part numbers, and accurately report discrepancies such as damaged parts.
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education, related experience, and training.
