We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Assembler for our manufacturing client in Knightdale, NC. The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for completing large wood and metal assemblies according to specifications. The Mechanical Assembler should be able to read assembly documentation and provide high quality of work. The Mechanical Assembler should be capable of assembling hardware stacks, mechanical assemblies, and have a desire to produce a quality product and adhere to production goals.

Responsibilities:
- Follows safety guidelines and requirements
- Operates tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Ability to perform physical job duties, including standing, lifting, climbing, etc.
- Exhibits quality workmanship that adheres to engineering and customer specifications
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
- Report inventory use as required
- Adheres to Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards
- Works in a timely, efficient manner to meet all daily performance objectives
- Works in a team environment which requires cooperating with others,offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
- Work up to 10 hours per day and weekends as required
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:45 PM
Skills:
- Attention to detail
- Desire to produce quality products to be used in larger assemblies
- Ability to work on ladders (up to 10 feet), lifts(with harness) and stand or sit for long periods oftime
- Ability to safely and efficiently build, lift and move sub-assemblies and both switch board electrical and mechanical components

Qualifications:
- Ability to read assembly documentation (blueprints/schematics)
- Ability to assemble hardware stacks and mechanical assemblies
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools - drills, saws, nut drivers, screw drivers, torque
- Ability to read a metric tape measure and take precision measurements with a high level of accuracy
