figuring, and troubleshooting both the physical layer (cabling, racking, and hardware) and the logical layer (firewalls, VLANs, and server environments) of our network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an early-career IT professional or a skilled field technician who possesses a good foundational knowledge of networking principles, enjoys a mix of hardware deployment and software troubleshooting, and thrives in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Physical Setup & Cabling: Run and terminate network cables (Cat5e/Cat6) , assemble network racks , and connect devices like PCs, printers, and access points to switches. Hardware & Inventory Support: Help receive, organize, ship, and physically install network hardware inventories. Basic Network Configuration: Assist with the basic setup and day-to-day troubleshooting of routers, switches, VLANs, and firewalls.
Systems Administration: Help maintain Windows/Linux user accounts, basic Active Directory tasks, and remote user support.
Network Monitoring: Keep an eye on system uptime and performance using basic monitoring tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds.
Working hours: 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
While not strictly required, familiarity with any of the following will help you hit the ground running:
Basic Networking Tools: Any hands-on exposure to routers, switches, or basic monitoring tools like Wireshark or SolarWinds.
Security & Access Basics: A basic understanding of firewalls (like Cisco or pf Sense) or setting up simple VPNs
Operating Systems: Familiarity navigating Windows Server or basic Linux environments.
Physical Infrastructure: Experience using hand tools to route, punch down, or terminate Ethernet cables (Cat5e/Cat6).
Academic/Certification Progress: Currently pursuing or completed some coursework in IT, Computer Science, or Cybersecurity (CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ progress is a plus

Qualifications:
Basic Hardware & Computer Literacy: Comfortable setting up desktop PCs, connecting peripheral devices, and navigating standard Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Foundational Networking Concepts: A basic understanding of how devices connect to a network, including familiarity with concepts like IP addresses, Wi-Fi connectivity, routers, and switches.
Hands-On Physical Capability: Comfortable using basic hand tools to mount equipment into network racks, run pre-made network cables, and handle physical inventory shipping/receiving.
Methodical Troubleshooting: The ability to logically approach a technical issue and follow basic diagnostic steps to find a solution.
Clear Communication: Ability to follow technical instructions from senior engineers and explain basic technical fixes to non-technical users clearly and professionally
