Spherion is hiring a New Product Development Process Engineer for our client in Dayton, OH! The successful candidate will be the technical lead for new, customer-driven components. You will be taking a drawing and figuring out exactly how to make it repeatable and perfect every single time.

Leading the charge on how we build new medical products, specifically focusing on multi-axis CNC turning and milling.
Youll be the voice of the shop floor during the design phase, giving feedback to customers to make sure their parts can actually be produced efficiently.
Youll select and justify the equipment, design the fixtures/gaging, and develop the CNC programs and work instructions for the first runs.
Running the 'heavy lifting' on documentation IQ/OQ/PQ to make sure were hitting those strict FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
Using PFMEA to spot potential manufacturing hiccups before they happen and solving any technical 'bugs' during the pilot runs.
Helping the business side by estimating cycle times and costs so we can win new projects.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
If you have experience with robotic machine tending or secondary processes like passivation and heat treating, that's a huge plus.

4-7 years
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
At least 3 to 5 years as a Process or CNC Engineer, specifically in an NPI (New Product Introduction) environment.
You need hands-on knowledge of Swiss-style turning, multi-axis milling, and grinding.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM (SolidWorks, Mastercam, or Esprit) for tooling design and CNC programming.
You should be very comfortable with GD&T, SPC (Statistical Process Control), and the validation requirements of a regulated medical environment.
