offers firsthand exposure to innovative protein extraction processes in a fast-moving food manufacturing startup, where you will operate downstream equipment, manage complex plumbing lineups, and perform hands-on cultivation tasks like biomass harvesting and pond maintenance. Whether you are troubleshooting mechanical systems, monitoring greenhouse health, or executing equipment sanitation, you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact by scaling a novel, sustainable production system while growing alongside the company.
Responsibilities:
Process & Equipment Operation: Daily operation of downstream processing equipment, including setting up and verifying process plumbing lineups (hoses, hard lines, fittings, and tank connections).
Cultivation & Upstream Support: Execute routine and non-routine cultivation operations such as pond cleaning, biomass harvesting, and monitoring greenhouse environmental conditions to ensure plant health.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on pumps, plumbing, mechanical systems, and site infrastructure across greenhouses and processing areas to minimize downtime.
Technical Execution: Execute routine processing tasks including equipment sanitation, solution preparation, and charging of processing systems while accurately following documented procedures.
Data & Documentation: Accurately collect, record, and enter operational and cultivation data; maintain work order systems and contribute to process documentation updates.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, and R&D teams to support process refinement, optimization, and scaling efforts.
Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in strict accordance with GMP, HACCP, OSHA, and food safety standards.
Working hours: 2:00 PM - 2:00 AM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Certifications: Forklift Certification or the ability to complete certification within 30 days of hire.
Bonus Points: Experience in chemical processing, automated control systems, or hydroponics/aquaponics.

Qualifications:
Experience: Prior background in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical manufacturing with experience in basic technical/mechanical tasks.
Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.
Mathematical Skills: Proficiency in basic math functions and the ability to convert standard units of measurement.
Physical Capability: Ability to stand 8+ hours a day, reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift over 50 lbs.
Adaptability: Ability to work in hot, humid greenhouse environments and work flexible hours (early mornings, evenings, or nights) as needed.
