Responsibilities:
Patient Care & Documentation: Accurately document patient history in our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system, including chief complaints, history of presenting illness, and family medical history. Experience with ModMed's EMA is a plus.
Diagnostic Testing: Conduct a variety of diagnostic tests, including accurate tonometry readings, automated visual field testing, and capturing Optical Coherence Tomograph (OCT) images.
Clinical Assistance: Assist physicians with various tasks as needed during patient examinations.
Patient Education: Help educate patients on testing procedures and other aspects of their care.
Clinical Environment Management: Ensure exam rooms are clean and well-stocked, and that all equipment is well-maintained and in order throughout the workday.
Administrative Support: Order and restock supplies to ensure the practice runs smoothly.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Degree is preferred
Experience: A minimum of six months of experience in an ophthalmic, optometric, or medical assisting role with patient interaction is preferred.
Technical Skills: Must be able to operate ophthalmic equipment to complete eye exams and perform diagnostic tests.

Interpersonal Skills: A friendly, courteous, and helpful demeanor is essential for interacting with patients, doctors, and co-workers.
Work Ethic: Must have excellent attention to detail and the ability to maintain the confidentiality of patient records.
Flexibility & Mobility: You must have dependable transportation and be willing to travel to various office locations and work some weekends as needed.
Communication: Possess exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Language: Bilingual in Spanish is a significant plus.
