We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Payroll Specialist / Accounting Assistant to manage our on-site payroll and potentially support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions.

Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Manage and execute all aspects of bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll processing.
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner using QuickBooks Desktop (Version 23).
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local wage and tax laws.
Accounting Support (Ideal/Optional):
Process Accounts Payable (AP), including verifying invoices, obtaining approvals, and issuing payments.
Process Accounts Receivable (AR), including invoicing customers and tracking collections.
Reconcile general ledger accounts related to payroll, AP, and AR.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Independence: Must be a proactive and independent worker, as no training time is available.

Qualifications:
Software Proficiency (Mandatory): Demonstrated, immediate proficiency in using QuickBooks Desktop (Version 23 or newer) for payroll processing.
Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) managing payroll independently.
Accounting Knowledge (Highly Preferred): Working knowledge of standard accounting principles and practices, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
