As the Plant Manager, you will lead the Tukwila facility's operations, supervising a dedicated team to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently. Reporting to the Northwest Regional Manager, you will be responsible for total regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and maintaining a high-standard safety culture in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Responsibilities:
Rendering is the process of upcycling animal by-products and used cooking oils???materials that would otherwise end up in landfills???into high-value proteins, fats, and minerals used in animal feed, renewable fuels, and industrial applications.
The Rendering Process: What You???ll Manage
As Plant Manager, you are overseeing a sophisticated "dry rendering" or continuous-cook process.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Monitor and adjust cook times, temperatures, and press pressures to maximize yield and product quality.
Regulatory Command: Maintain absolute compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) and FDA/USDA regulations regarding CMPAF (Cattle Material Prohibited in Animal Feed).
Mechanical Integrity: Lead the maintenance of heavy-duty industrial equipment, including screw conveyors, industrial cookers, centrifuges, and high-pressure boilers.
Leadership: Manage a dedicated night-shift team, fostering a culture of safety and precision in a high-heat, high-demand environment.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Skills:
Compliance Expertise: Proven history of managing APPI (Animal Protein Producers Industry) standards and environmental permits.

1-4 years
Qualifications:
Direct Rendering Experience: You must have a background in an animal by-product or organic recycling facility.
Technical Literacy: Ability to interpret gauges, flow meters, and VFD outputs to troubleshoot the rendering line in real-time.
Physical Capability: This is a "boots-on-the-ground" role requiring the ability to navigate a multi-level industrial plant and lift up to 70 lbs.
