Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the production supervisor(s), the responsibilities of the Press Operator are to manufacture thermoplastic composite parts utilizing supplied equipment, supplies and work instructions while following company policies and procedures
Load and insert product into various machines and run the machine
Unload product and visually inspect
Maintain cycle times to meet/exceed minimum rates
Keep equipment and work area clean
Support company requirements for overtime
Identification of waste concerning, material, supplies and time
Follow Production Supervisor directions and assignments
May be cross trained in other departments as needed
Follow all specifications and work instructions of the position being filled
Assist in the training of newly hired personnel
Proper clocking on and off assigned work order
Proper issuing of materials
Perform work according to established work instructions
FOD control
Clean as you work throughout the shift
Refill all supplies and tools as needed and at the end of every shift
Complete all assigned tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
Know and use FOD prevention ???Best Practices??? in assigned area
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and work areas
Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves and hearing protection
Safely lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and safety
Communicate effectively with team members, programmers, and supervisors regarding production issues or recommendations
Manual dexterity for handling materials and operating machinery
Working hours: 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Previous Aerospace Experience Preferred, Not Required

High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
2-4 years Press Operator Experience
Attention to detail and quality.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and documentation.
Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, or responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and quality.
Effectively balance competing deadlines and adapting to shifting priorities in fast paced environments.
