Now hiring a Process Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity with a world-leading manufacturing company located in Conway, SC. The Engineer will analyze product and process capabilities, optimize manufacturing processes, and prepare quality documentation (FMEA, PPAP, etc.) for custom and running products. What You'll Do:
- Drive Optimization: Develop, modify, and improve production processes to achieve target quality, cost, delivery, and productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Prepare FMEA, Control Plans (CP), and Working Instructions (WI) for samples and scale production. Prepare and review quality-related documents like PPAP and 8D countermeasures.
- Project Execution: Take a hands-on approach to execute prioritized projects on the floor, quantitatively showing cost, quality, productivity, and revenue impacts within your first year.

Responsibilities:
- Production Support: Analyze product and process capability of samples for smooth migration to production. Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and establish safety procedures for individuals and equipment. Expect to spend 80+% of your time on the plant floor.
- Design & Layout: Design and plan equipment layout, and conduct product/purchasing component design reviews considering process capability, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Vendor & Customer Relations: Analyze customer inputs from Sales for new inquiries and prepare proposals. Analyze supplier inputs from Procurement, prepare specifications/drawings for components, and evaluate price proposals.
- Global Collaboration: Become a member of the global team for custom products business development, which requires domestic and foreign travel for factory visits.
- Schedule Flexibility: Weekends and extended working hours are required as needed.
Working hours: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Skills:
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of product/equipment designing and PDCA cycles. Knowledge of soft magnetics, electrical, and mechanical backgrounds.
- Statistical Analysis: Strong knowledge of statistic quality analysis.

Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Education: BS or MS in Electrical, Electromagnetic, Industrial, Material Science, or other related Engineering specialty.
- Software Proficiency: 2D/3D-CAD and machine designing experience. Computer and data analysis skills, including fundamental QC tools and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
