Measurement & Layout: Use tapes, calipers, or other measuring tools to ensure all products meet strict quality tolerances.

Material Labeling: Accurately tag and label all finished pieces to ensure proper inventory tracking and customer delivery.

Equipment Operation: Safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts to transport heavy steel stock throughout the facility.

Manual Handling: Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver steel products weighing up to 75 lbs.

Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organized workspace while strictly adhering to all industrial safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Inventory Tracking: Utilize RF scanners to log materials and update production status within the warehouse system.

Production Support: Collaborate with team members to increase output and efficiency as the new Dayton facility grows its operations.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
Precision Measurement: Proficiency using tape measures, calipers, or micrometers to ensure exact dimensions.

Equipment Operation: Previous experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes (highly preferred).

Steel/Metal Industry Knowledge: Experience working in a steel service center, metal fabrication shop, or a general machine shop.

Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with industrial cutting tools, saws, and labeling equipment.

Digital Inventory: Experience using RF Scanners for barcode scanning and inventory management.

Detail-Oriented: A strong focus on quality control and the ability to spot errors in measurements or labels.

Education:
High School

1-4 years

Detail Oriented - quality and precision focused
Ability to measure products
Forklift experience is a plus
Machine shop experience is a plus or experience working in a steel manufacturer is a plus as well
Team oriented - must be able to work collaboratively with other team members to get tasks done
RF Scanner experience is a plus
