Job Description:

A job-shop powder coating position with multiple production lines and supporting departments. Thecore business is partnering with other companies to apply high-quality powder coating to their products and return them packaged to meet their specifications. This role operates within a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe, respectful, and team-oriented work environment
• Report to work consistently with a focus on supporting team members
• Perform assigned tasks with quality and continuous improvement in mind
• Apply powder coating to parts and operate coating line processes
• Load and unload parts from production lines and trucks
• Prepare parts by blasting to remove rust or contaminants
• Mask surfaces to protect areas from coating
• Move materials and package finished products
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe

Education: High School

• High School or GED

Experience: 12 months

Physical:

• Moderate Lifting (up to 50 lbs)
• Standing / Walking
• Bending / Stooping / Kneeling
• Pushing / Pulling
• Hot Environments
• Cold Environments

Skills:

• Knowledge of surface preparation techniques, including masking parts or threaded holes, cleaning, and sometimes blasting or stripping.
• Ability to inspect parts for defects, rust, or insufficient coating, and load/unload them onto hanging lines efficiently.
• Ability to check for proper coating adhesion, cure, millage (thickness), and overall appearance to meet quality standards
• Critical for ensuring high-quality, defect-free finishes.
• Ability to work well with others and adhere to a strict safety culture, ensuring a respectful and productive environment.
• Willingness to learn multiple parts of the coating process (e.g., priming, blasting) to be more versatile.
