The Specialized Production Technician supports the large-scale production of biological materials using established protocols and industry best practices. This role involves preparing specialized growth media, maintaining sensitive cultures, monitoring life cycles, and ensuring precise environmental conditions. You will work closely with a production team to ensure high-quality, consistent yields in a climate-controlled environment.

Responsibilities:
Environmental Control: Prepare and maintain specialized production environments, including precise temperature, humidity, and light controls.
Culture Maintenance: Handle and care for biological cultures through all stages of development and growth cycles.
Material Preparation: Prepare and distribute specialized organic nutrients and host materials to support production.
Inventory Management: Collect, separate, and transfer materials according to strict production schedules.
Quality Oversight: Inspect production units daily for health, growth, or abnormalities; identify and report any contamination.
Sanitation & Biosecurity: Follow rigorous sanitation procedures to maintain a sterile environment and prevent cross-contamination.
Documentation: Accurately record production data, observations, and quality control metrics.
Processing: Assist with the harvesting, packaging, and staging of finished products for distribution.
Facility Care: Operate basic production equipment and maintain the cleanliness of all workstations.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 2:45 PM (Various Shifts Available)
Skills:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (coursework in biology, agriculture, or a related field is a plus).
Detail-Oriented: Ability to maintain high attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks in a production setting.
Process-Driven: Strong ability to follow written technical protocols and maintain accurate records.
Teamwork: Excellent communication skills and the ability to thrive in a positive, team-oriented environment.
Certification: Ability to obtain equipment or forklift certification if required by the facility.
Atmosphere: Environmental conditions may include variable temperatures, high humidity, organic dust, and related natural odors.
Versatility: Work may occasionally transition between production areas and the shipping/receiving warehouse.

Qualifications:
Experience: 1-2+ years experience in laboratory work, specialized agriculture, animal care, or high-precision production setting.
MUST be 100% with these Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Setting: Work is performed in an indoor, nursery-style production facility, including climate-controlled rooms and specialized workstations.
Physical Demands: Requires frequent pushing, pulling, and maneuvering of tall production racks throughout the facility.
Material Handling: Must be comfortable working directly with organic, animal-based raw materials used in the production process.
