Job Description:
As a Punch Press Operator you would be responsible for producing parts to meet specifications in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Producing parts to meet quality specification in a safe and efficient manner
- Operating the punch press machine in manual or automatic mode
- Understanding the operating sequence of the machine to ensure it is working properly
- Performing job set-ups to include, loading/unloading, programming, and making adjustments
- Quality checking finished parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Performing preventative maintenance
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
Education: High School
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: 12 months
- 1+ year of experience utilizing measurement devices
- 1+ year of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- 1+ year of experience operating a hydraulic press (preferred)
Physical:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Skills:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
- Understanding of basic math
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes
