1. Develop, document, and implement programs and procedures to ensure that customer, company and regulatory specifications are met., 2. Communicate to and train all associates prior to implementation of new processes/procedures. Ensure the QA department is properly organized, staffed and trained to meet and achieve these requirements., 3. Ensure GFSI & QA Procedural compliance and maintenance, 4. Review, compile, and maintain of all HACCP, SSOP, and Pre Operational Inspection paperwork daily., 5. Oversee the following lab duties carried out by subordinate QA employees:, a. Salmonella/Campylobacter/E.coli- testing in accordance with USDA Regulations, b. %- Fat analysis/Calibration of equipment for ground turkey- nutrition, verification, c. Calcium and bone percentage in accordance with USDA regulation, d. Blood Analysis for Avian Influenza, e. Water samples for HACCP/Pre-Req. programs, f. Pesticide Residue, g. ABF/Organic Testing Requirements, h. Environmental Swab-Testing & Method, 6. Monitor all lab inventories and approve ordering., 7. Maintain a positive working relationship with USDA and respond to their concerns in a timely manner. Keep all of shift managers and supervisors aware of USDA concerns and corrective actions., 8. Investigate quality/customer issues- documenting and reporting corrective actions., 9. Prepare plant for 3 rd party audits including Organic, ABF, AWF, GFSI, and co-packer.
