- Oversee certifications and documentation process - Management System, AS9100, and customer requirements. Providing the "Certification of Compliance" for all customers.- This includes going over the documentation and certifications from outside suppliers and customers.- Gathering the information that is required per the Certification of Compliance. If necessary, calling suppliers for certifications, and checking their documentation for accuracy and ensuring it meets the customer requirements.- Properly documenting and storing all documents on the network under the proper folders and locations.- Oversight of "Source Inspections" by outside customers. This includes reviewing all documents that are required for the Source Inspector.- Ensure that every part or assembly is inspected by customer standards or industry standards to ensure that the customer is receiving what they order per their purchase order. Ensure that parts and assemblies move through the inspection area by following the schedule provided the Production Manager.- Inspect and record dimensionality. Inspect and record surface finish, edge break, and deburring. Inspect and record all coating and processing. Inspect and record dimensionality and functionality of assemblies, bushings, heli-coils, rivets, and/or hardware.- Write and manage manufacturing inspection plans. It is the responsibility of the inspector's to write down the crucial dimensionality features that the "machinist" must check and all MIP's for completion and accuracy- Ensure that tools/equipment is properly being utilized. - Ensure that the proper techniques are being used when inspecting (for example knowing when to use a micrometer instead of a caliper, or the CMM instead of a height gage when checking dimensionality). - Ensure workmanship. - Protecting inspection equipment when checking parts.- Monitor ship schedule and ready parts and paperwork for shipment. This includes "shipping" parts in Global against Sales Order, pulling parts to be shipped from inventory, verifying counts and that all certs match, and emailing customer with tracking number(s) and applicable paperwork.- Maintain Calibration Database and Tools- Provide scrap and rework information to Lead Machinist or Production Manager as soon as possible. All scrapped parts shall be identified and tag immediately.- All scrap shall be recorded in ERP System (Global) and All rework shall be recorded in ERP System (Global).

- Understanding of AS9100 quality systems including continuous improvement and implementation.- Have good Excel and Word skills.- Have general inspection skills (to check and verify) customer components.- Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications and instructions, and communicate them in an understandable manner.- Understanding of production scheduling, and compliance.- Ability to communicate professionally with employees, customers, suppliers and members of industry.- Must have the skill set of programming of a CMM machine.
- Required: High School or GED equivalent level of applicable experience.- Preferred: Quality Assurance Background.- Experience in the aerospace industry or equivalent.- Experience in quality assurance pre-dominantly AS9100.- Ability to lift 50lbs
