Job Description:
QC Expert ~ Responsible for analyzing, developing, and maintaining quality and risk management systems, including standards, documentation, process monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensures procedures, equipment, and systems meet quality specifications while driving process enhancements. Impacts team results through individual contributions and performs routine or specialized technical work within established procedures. Accountable for the quality of own work, operating with guidance from senior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory testing and evaluation of stock and specialty chromatography products
- Conduct advanced gas and/or liquid chromatography according to documented methods
- Review test results for compliance with specifications
- Prepare and select appropriate standards and solutions
- Execute experiments, analyze data, and report results
- Enter and evaluate QC data using PC and lab automation systems
- Maintain accurate records of systems, procedures, and test results
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of chromatographic instrumentation
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and R&D to resolve nonconformances
- Recommend and help implement process or system improvements
- Write and update standard operating procedures and quality documentation
- Assist with product scheduling and review of test results Train and support other QC chemists
Education: High School
- BS or AS degree and 1-2 yrs experience, or HS Diploma/equivalent and 5+ yrs experience
Experience: 24 months
