Responsibilities:
Review work orders to confirm all operations are finished and inspect parts against specific drawings and customer requirements.
Approve only the parts that meet all drawing and work order specifications to ensure problems are caught before reaching the customer.
Identify and document nonconforming materials by writing NCRs and creating SCARs/CARs as needed.
Assist the team in determining why errors occurred and verify that corrective actions (CAPA) are completed to prevent repeats.
Use only calibrated measuring tools and track the calibration status of all inspection equipment.
Keep detailed inspection logs and quality records to ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) remains compliant.
Properly identify and handle customer-supplied materials and perform re-checks on any parts that have been reworked or remade.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly follow all company Quality Policies and safety procedures.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
Experience specifically within a metal manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems and process improvements.
Advanced knowledge of CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) reporting.
Education:
High School
Experience:
1-4 years
Qualifications:
At least 2 years of inspection experience in a manufacturing setting.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and using precision measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
Ability to identify, track, and document nonconforming materials and corrective actions.
Strong attention to detail and the physical ability to stand for extended periods in a shop environment.
