We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to support a precision manufacturing operation in Loves Park, IL. This is a hands-on inspection role requiring confidence with precision measuring tools, blueprint interpretation, and independent inspection decision-making.
This position is best suited for someone who has worked in a machine shop or CNC manufacturing environment and is comfortable performing first-piece, in-process, and final inspections on machined metal components.

- 1st shift: Monday-Thursday: 6:00 am-3:30 pm; Friday: 6:00 am-10:00 am

What You'll Do
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections on machined components using micrometers, calipers, comparators, air gages, and vision systems (Keyence)
- Execute first-piece, in-process, and final inspections to verify compliance with specifications
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, bubble prints, and process sheets
- Accurately document inspection results in accordance with quality procedures
- Identify nonconformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Perform receiving inspections for outsourced or incoming components as needed
- Maintain awareness of inspection tool calibration and report out-of-tolerance conditions
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area in line with 5S standards
- Communicate effectively with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve inspection or process issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality and inspection efficiency
What You'll Bring
- Hands-on experience using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, comparators)
- Experience performing first-piece and final inspections in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints independently
- Experience inspecting machined metal components in a precision manufacturing setting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- 1+ year of quality inspection or machining experience
- Familiarity with SPC concepts and inspection documentation
- Experience with vision systems or automated inspection equipment
