We are seeking a diligent Receiving Associate to manage the incoming flow of raw ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies. You will be responsible for verifying the accuracy of shipments, inspecting for quality and food safety compliance, and ensuring all items are stored correctly in our climate-controlled warehouse.

You are the first line of defense in our supply chain. By ensuring that only the highest quality, uncontaminated ingredients enter our facility, you directly protect our customers and our brand's reputation.
Responsibilities:
Shipment Verification: Match incoming goods against purchase orders (POs) and bills of lading (BOLs) to ensure accuracy in quantity and product type.
Unloading & Staging: Safely operate forklifts or pallet jacks to unload trucks and move materials to designated storage areas (coolers, freezers, or ambient racks).
Inventory Entry: Use an ERP system or handheld scanner to log received goods, assign lot numbers, and print labels for traceability.
Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed records of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) and temperature logs to satisfy FDA and internal audit requirements.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized receiving dock, ensuring "First In, First Out" (FIFO) rotation is strictly followed
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Skills:
Food Safety Certification: Prior training in HACCP, PCQI, or general GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Cross-Contamination Awareness: Understanding of allergen segregation (e.g., keeping peanuts away from non-allergen ingredients).
Problem Solving: Experience handling "Short & Damaged" claims and communicating discrepancies to vendors.
Bilingual: Fluency in Spanish or another language common among logistics providers is a major plus.

Technical Literacy: Ability to use warehouse management software (WMS) and basic math for inventory counting.
Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work comfortably in cold storage environments (coolers/freezers).
Attention to Detail: High accuracy in reading small print, lot codes, and expiration dates.
Equipment Experience: Proven experience operating a sit-down or stand-up forklift.
Communication: Ability to interact professionally with truck drivers and the procurement team.
