LaWe have an immediate opening for a Metal Scrap Yard Laborer responsible for the general labor work, cut copper brass and other scrap metal, baling, sorting through the scrap, and organization in the yard.
This is PERMANENT, Full time opportunity with OVERTIME every week
Mon-Friday 8am-5pm AND Saturdays from 8am-2pm.

Responsibilities:
- Uses hand tools and saws to cut and separate and sort through scrap material.
- This is a customer facing role as well and will assist customers in searching up material and information
- Use of computers to search up customer name and selecton.
- Will assist with safely loading and unloading materials from customer vehicles.
- Operates forklift and general equipment.
- Be able to use torch or gas saw to cut scrap metal.
- Keep yard clean and organized, taking the initiative to pick up.
- Maintaining inventory of yard items being stocked
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Qualifications:
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and other physical activities for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work outdoors with expose to the sun and incremental weather
- Use of hand and power tools, and varioous saws.
- Ability to drive a forklift
- Ability to work safely and properly follow all company policies
- Ability for sitting, standing, walking, forward bending, climbing, squatting, kneeling, pulling/ pushing and reaching
- Ability to be self-directed, with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated and can work alone
