Spherion Fargo is seeking an experienced Safety Director for a local client in Fargo. The Safety Director is responsible for developing, implementing and managing health and safety policies to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.

-Policy Development: Create and enforce safety policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA standards.
-Training and Education: Conduct safety training sessions for employees, ensuring they are informed about emergency preparedness, proper use of safety equipment and accident protocols.
-Safety Audits and Inspections: Perform regular safety audits and inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
-Incident Management: Lead investigations of workplace incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
-Reporting: Prepare and present safety reports to management, detailing safety performance and compliance with safety regulations.
-Collaboration: Work closely with operational groups and leadership to promote a culture of safety and drive continuous improvements in safety performance.
Working hours: Various Shifts Available
Skills:
-Certifications such as OSHA 500 or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are highly preferred
Education:
Bachelors
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
-A Bachelor???s degree in safety management, environmental safety, or a related field is typically required
-At least 3-10 years of experience in safety management, with a strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety standards
