The Sanitation Technician ensures a clean, safe, and compliant environment across production and warehouse facilities. This role is responsible for upholding rigorous food quality and safety standards (FDA, SQF, Good Manufacturing Practices), operating industrial cleaning equipment, performing Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures, and maintaining optimal plant hygiene to support overall operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Clean, foam, scrub, rinse, and sanitize production equipment (rinsers, warmers, pasteurizers), conveyors, drip pans, floors, walls, and auxiliary areas.
Prepare production machinery for cleaning following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and chemical safety guidelines.
Adhere to health, safety, and food safety standards (GMP, FDA, SQF) and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Perform facility maintenance across offices, restrooms, stairwells, elevators, and outdoor grounds, including waste removal.
Verify and validate sanitation thoroughness through visual inspections, chemical concentration testing, and monitoring CIP system printouts or logs.
Accurately complete daily documentation and update the Master Sanitation Schedule.
Safely store and manage chemical cleaning agents and equipment to minimize plant downtime.
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Skills:
1+ years of experience as a sanitation or janitorial worker in a warehouse or production environment. Demonstrated experience operating mobile industrial cleaning equipment (e.g., pressure washers, floor scrubbers) and industrial balers.

Qualifications:
Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical technical data sheets.
Knowledge of standard safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and food safety regulations (HACCP, SQF, FDA).
Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential sanitation issues proactively.
Solid time management, problem-solving, and teamwork capabilities.
Ability to meet physical demands, including frequent standing, walking, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced environment.
High school diploma or equivalent.
