We are seeking an Experienced Service Technician to join one of the fastest-growing Commercial Security and Building Automation providers in Michigan. This role offers a unique balance of high-level technical troubleshooting and professional customer engagement. You will primarily support a large client in the South Bend area (approximately 75% of the time), with the remainder focused on diverse commercial projects in Southwest Michigan. Responsibilities:
System Maintenance: Service access control systems (specifically Lenel), CCTV, fire alarms, and other security systems.
Technical Execution: Read blueprints and electrical drawings to determine equipment locations and ensure installations meet building codes.
Client Relations: Act as the primary face of the company, providing daily communication to site engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Training & Education: Educate and demo systems to customers to ensure they are comfortable with their solutions.
Reporting: Accurately report materials used, hours worked, and project documentation via mobile task completion tools.
Continuous Learning: Stay up to date on the latest security and automation technology through ongoing research and training.
Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM
Skills:
System Expertise: Prior experience with Lenel security systems is a significant advantage.
Certifications: NICET certification is a plus.
Technical Breadth: Networking experience or low-voltage electrical background.

Qualifications:
Experience: 2 or more years of servicing CCTV and access control systems.
Background: A strong "trades" background (low voltage/electrical/technical)
Communication: Ability to adjust technical information to suit the audience, from network engineers to non-technical users.
Physical/Logistical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in small spaces.
Tools: Proficient with power tools, electronics, and Microsoft Office.
Licensing: Valid Drivers License.
