The Shipping and Receiving Clerk I is responsible for overseeing daily shipping and receiving operations to ensure the seamless flow of materials. This role performs a wide range of logistics and warehouse tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, receiving and storing materials, operating material handling equipment, and preparing products for shipment. Additionally, this position requires the flexibility to cross-train and support the production area as needed to meet demand.

Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks; receive incoming material using established site processes and systems.
Ensure all material is accurately received, labeled (using stickers, stencils, or tags), and distributed to assigned locations. Serve as the primary point of contact for the assembly team regarding part locations.
Prepare products for shipment, process required shipping paperwork, and secure materials using hand tools such as banders, hammers, tape measures, and impact nail guns to build crates, pallets, and boxes.
Safely operate a variety of material handling equipment?including forklifts, powered industrial trucks, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and cranes?to transport and rack parts or materials.
Perform visual quality inspections of materials during the shipping and receiving processes, identifying and reporting any non-conformance.
Conduct routine inventory cycle counts to ensure data accuracy.
Cross-train and flex into production roles or stand in for other job functions during peak times or as operationally required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly work area by performing 5-S duties, adhering to established safety procedures, and properly maintaining tools and equipment.
Working hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Constantly handling materials; must be able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs. independently, and push or pull up to 100 lbs.
Must utilize appropriate lift assists or partner lifts when moving heavy or awkward materials and products.
Required to stand, walk, bend, and operate heavy machinery throughout the duration of the shift.
Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in a manufacturing, shipping/receiving, or related warehouse environment.
Previous experience safely operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks is required.
Ability to follow established oral and written procedures and work instructions.
