Spherion Staffing is looking to fill a skilled Quality Control Technician who can provide support on projects with focus on safe work practices, compliance to project documentation, good internal work plan, maintain quality at all levels and adherence to project schedules and shop budgets.

Responsibilities:
Support the shop lead and QA manager by performing the following functions:
Review of project related documentation (shop traveler) provided by planner.
Coordinate with shop management group to develop dimensional inspection reports (EDR???s).
Develop and complete visual inspection reports.
Daily review and reporting of status of completion of all EDR???s in shop.
Coordination with third party NDE inspectors in shop.
Compilation of quality reports, review for accuracy, and compliance to test plan.
Report non-conformities to shop lead and QA manager.
Submit quality reports to QA manager.
Management of calibration certificates of shop measuring tools.
Some local travel may be required.
Other duties as assigned.
Working hours: 5:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Skills:
Ability to use shop measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, profilometer, various gages.
Understanding of principles surrounding non-destructive examinations such as magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic examination testing.
Ability to use laser (FARO) tracker measurement equipment.
Education:
Associate
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
Ability to use MS Office, especially Excel & Outlook.
Ability to read drawings.
Ability to be very organized, to communicate clearly both verbally and through written correspondence.
Ability to be on your feet on a concrete floor for a 10 hour shift.
Good interpersonal skills.
Understanding of the purposes of various machine tools used in a shop environment.
Understanding of the use shop measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, profilometer, various gages.
