An established and growing Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) firm is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Structural Engineer to lead complex structural projects. Responsibilities:
Technical Design & Analysis:
Serve as the Engineer-of-Record on multiple concurrent projects, providing technical guidance and effective oversight to project teams.
Perform and review advanced structural analysis, design, and calculations for a variety of projects utilizing common construction materials such as steel, reinforced concrete, wood, and masonry.
Apply expertise in structural analysis and design software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS) to develop safe, efficient, and constructible designs.
Quality Assurance & Compliance:
Ensure all designs and construction documents adhere to applicable building codes and industry standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, and AISC.
Review and approve structural engineering drawings, specifications, and reports for technical accuracy and quality control.
Conduct necessary field investigations, provide construction administration support, and respond to RFIs and submittals.
Project and Team Leadership:
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors, ensuring clear communication and managing expectations.
Provide direct mentorship, guidance, and technical training to intermediate and junior engineering staff.
Manage project technical scope, schedule adherence, and resource allocation to ensure successful project outcomes.
Business Contribution:
Participate in proposal preparation, scope-of-work definition, and fee estimates for prospective projects.
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Skills:
Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
Experience with advanced analysis techniques (e.g., seismic design, vibration analysis).
Experience with specialized structures (e.g., industrial, military, healthcare facilities).
Familiarity with alternative delivery methods such as Design-Build.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in structural engineering design, specifically related to the built environment.
Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license or the ability to obtain one is highly preferred.
Technical Tools:
High proficiency in 3D BIM modeling and 2D drafting platforms (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
Expert-level knowledge and practical application of industry-standard structural analysis and design software.
Soft Skills:
Proven leadership and project management capabilities with a focus on team success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and client interaction.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects under deadline.
