• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects.
• When identifying structural steel and miscellaneous steel you will create a take off.
• Being able to take that list and send it off to our vendors for a material quote.
• Experience in using estimating software such as ProCore is preferred but not a must as some customers upload their plans through ProCore
• Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate estimation processes.
• Utilize Bluebeam software to develop comprehensive estimates that reflect project requirements.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all aspects of the project are accounted for in the estimate.
• Negotiate contracts and prices with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
• Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs, timelines, and resource requirements for management review.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to provide accurate estimates and recommendations.
