We are seeking an experienced Tax Preparer to assist a company with this years tax season. This role offers flexible part time offers and is based locally to the Frederick County, MD area.
Responsibilities:
- Help individuals and businesses accurately file tax returns by collecting financial data, using tax software to compute liabilities, identifying deductions/credits, and ensuring compliance with federal/state laws

- Advise on tax planning to maximize refunds and minimize liabilities
- Perform accurate data entry and financial analysis
- Greet clients in office in a professional manner
- Gather financial records, income statements, and documentation
- Identify potential deductions, credits, and tax-saving opportunities
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Skills:
- Experienced bookkeeper is a plus but not a requirement
Education:
High School
Experience:
4-7 years
Qualifications:
- Must have at least 3 years of income tax preparation experience
- Ability to use QuickBooks in a proficient manner
- Ability to pass compliance screenings including an education verification (if applicable) and credit report
- This position is fully on site and does not offer remote or hybrid structure
