Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

As a Customer Service Representative in Eustis, FL, you will perform entry-level clerical and cashiering duties while delivering supportive service to local residents.

Responsibilities:
- Receive, count, and record cash and negotiable instruments for utility payments and other miscellaneous fees.
Provide clear explanations and answers to customer inquiries regarding utility billing, rates, adjustments, service, and meter readings.
- Maintain accurate data entry while establishing and updating utility account records.
- Prepare work orders and route information accurately to various municipal departments.
- Balance daily cash receipts and the cash till accurately at the end of each shift.
- Answer incoming phone calls, address public inquiries, and take detailed messages.
- Sort, record, and process returned utility invoices as well as lien request information.
- Research and compile data for utility records and administrative reports.
- Serve as backup assistance for senior customer service staff and assist with administrative needs as required.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
- Previous experience in municipal utility billing or local government clerical work.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out daily tasks independently with minimal supervision once trained.
- Flexibility to assist with city emergency preparation or disaster response efforts if needed.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- At least two (2) years of customer service and/or cashiering experience.
- Great mathematics skills and proven cash-handling/till-balancing ability.
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to work calmly and professionally in a fast-paced environment.
- High reliability, great work ethic, and attention to detail.
- Ability to meet sedentary work demands, including extended sitting, finger/hand dexterity, and clear speech and hearing.
