Spherion Staffing has a temporary Staff Accountant position available in the Fargo area. The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of monthly financial statements and financial analysis for the organization. Qualified applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) with 3 years' experience and be able to work with a sense of urgency.

Pay $25-35/hour DOE
Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
Assignment length: 1-3 months
Responsibilities:
-Process intercompany transactions and reconcile intercompany postings
-Maintain general ledger to include the preparation of journal entries
-Conduct account reconciliations and analysis
-Assist in the company's monthly and annual closing
-Update and maintain debt schedules
-Assist with preparation of financial statements and supplementary reports
-Review project costs
-Process and maintain fixed asset records
-Organize and maintain confidential files and reports
-Other duties as assigned
Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

-Four-year accounting degree
-Must have a minimum of three years in an accounting role
-Microsoft Excel, Yardi and Sage skills
-Ability to act independently and proactively, multitask and thrive in the busiest of environments

-Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
-Self-motivated with a high level of initiative and a sense of urgency
